1955 - The company is founded

We started with serial jobs for an important machine and tool factory.
In 1962, we began to manufacture speed reducers. We ventured heavily into the rubber market, producing seals and diaphragms for the industry.

1964 - We created a national coupling

We wanted to perfect the qualities offered by those used at that time when only one European model was marketed under license.
In 1966, the Universal Elastic Coupling of Full Band was born, patented by the National Directorate of Intellectual Property.

1968 - Gummi is created

Through a strategic marketing network throughout the country, the coupling was quickly spread and accepted in all kinds of industries.
The “GUMMI” brand becomes the generic name of the coupling.

1999 - We increase exports to USA and other countries

We took Houston as a strategic marketing base, and incorporate certifications that support the already proven performance.
A stage of globalization of GUMMI products begins, reaching destinations such as Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Siberia, and more.

2003 - We aquired an industrial plant

With 5000 m2 due to the growth of international demand.
In recent years, new technologies have been incorporated into machinery. Innovations have been made in the development of High Torque Elastic and Semi-elastic Couplings to satisfy the needs that the market demands.

2018 - We reached 50 years in the industry
