Cam Clutch | Backstop | Overrunning Clutch
Cam Clutches is used in application when one direction of rotation is required. It has a mechanism where a cam or wedging element is used to lock the inner and outer races of the clutch to transmit torque in only one direction. It is often referred as Freewheel, Sprag clutch, one way clutch, depending on the application.
Cam Clutches are mainly used for 3 types of application:
- Backstopping
- Overrunning.
- Indexing
Cam Clutches are most commonly used in conveyors, cranes and hoists for safety purposes and other areas in printing presses, packaging equipment, food processing machines, pumps and fans.

BS-K Backstop
When preventing the rotation of slow speed conveyor, like a bucket elevator is required, the BS-K series is best suited for this kind of application.
- Size BS 30K - BS 135K are pre-lubricated with grease, thus no lubrication maintenance required.
- Size BS 160K - BS 350K require grease lubrication and lubrication maintenance is necessary.
Applications: Conveyor, bucket elevator.

LD-K Backstop
The LD-K series is for application with light duty at low speed application and incorporating onto a V-pulley, timing pulley or sprocket.
- Pre-lubricated with special grease and are ready for use, therefore no additional lubricant is required.
- The bores of the pulley, sprocket, etc., should have a tolerance of H6 or H7.
Applications: Conveyor, bucket elevator.
Models: LD04K, LD05K, LD06K, LD07K, LD08K.

B200K Backstop
The B200K series is shaft mounted directly.
Clutch have the same O.D as the ball bearing. While installing the clutch, the shaft must be supported by bearings.
Applications: Aggregate and Cement, Agriculture, Cranes and Hoists, HVAC, Minerals and Mining, Packaging Machinery, Pulp and Paper, Unit Handling

Cam Type: NFS-K | NSS-K
The NFS-K & NSS-K Series is designed for press fit installation application. It has two vertical keyways on the outer race, which provides east handling and installation, making it ideal for general applications.
Interference dimensions must be maintained to obtain maximum clutch performance.
- Both NFS-K & NSS-K Series is Cam type clutch
- Clutches have same diameters as metric medium series ball bearing.
- Clutches require bearing support to assure concentricity between inner and outer race.
- Clutches must be lubricated before putting in service.
- NSS-K Series is excellent for applications where space is restricted.

PB-K
PB-K Series clutches feature precision formed cams which provide higest torque capacities with excellent wear life.
- Do not use the PB-K Cam Clutch as a coupling
- Specify right(R.H) or left hand (L.H) inner race drive viewed from direction of arrow mark when ordering.
- Thrust load should be support by other devices instead of the PB-K Cam Clutch.
- Model PB5K∼PB14K Series have 3 pcs of filler except PB3K which has one only.
- These units can be operated in ambient temperature of -6℃∼55℃
Applications: Centrifugal pumps, Textile Machinery, Instrumentation, Mixer Drives, Blowers and fan drives, Light duty general industrial applications Food, HVAC, Packaging Machinery

MZ-K
MZ-K Series is pre-lubricated with grease, thus no lubrication maintenance is required, and it is easy to install and handle.
- MZ-K Series are shielded by shield bearings on both ends, and it is packed with a grease.
- High tension bolts are recommended for pulleys, gears or sprockets fixing to the outer race of cam clutch.
- Thrust load should be support by other devices instead of the MZ-K Cam Clutch.
- Ambient temperature range is -5℃ to +40℃
Applications: Can be use attaching to pulley, sprocket and gears.
Models: MZ20K, MZ30, MZ45K, MZ60K, MZ70K.

MG-K | MI-K | MR-K
MG-K Series Clutch is used for inner race overrunning applications.
MI-K Series Clutch is for indexing applications.
MR-K Series Clutch is for outer race high speed overrunning applications.
- Can be use attaching to pulley, sprocket and gear.
- High tension bolts are recommended for pulleys, gears or sprockets fixing to the outer race of cam clutch.
- Thrust load should be support by other devices instead of the MZ-K Cam Clutch.
- When using MG-K Series at medium and high speeds, take note to heat built up. Cam Clutch life is shortened if the temperature of Cam Clutch outer race rises to over 70°C.

MG-RK
MG-RK Series Clutch is for backstop application with oil reservoir.
- It consists of MG-K Series Clutch with oil reservoir.
- For high speed inner race Back stopping application with outer race is stationary.
- Specify direction of inner race drive( right hand (R.H)or left hand (L.H)) when ordering.
- When attaching the oil lubricating clutches, be sure to put packing and position one of the plugs of outer race underneath as a drain.
Applications: For Backstop Applications with Oil Reservoir
